Salvation
We welcome you to the most important portion of our web site. This section will tell you about the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the truth of real Bible salvation.
Our promise to you is this, that what you read here is the pure teachings of God’s word. So earnestly study this section and allow the Spirit of God to speak to your heart – for all eternity relies on what you do with the knowledge of Christ. The most important question you can ask yourself is, “If I die today will I be in heaven?” This section will tell you how to answer that question with great assurance.
Some may ask, why should I be saved, or do I really need to be saved? These and many other questioned about salvation will be answered as you study this page. Our burden is not to prove whether or not the Bible is real but to reveal to your heart what the Bible teaches about how to obtain eternal life. The greatest need for mankind and the world is the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ and His free gift of eternal life given to all that would receive it.
What did Jesus say about salvation?
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except an man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Jn.3: 3, 5, 7
These words Jesus spoke to a man by the name of Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, Nicodemus was the equivalent of the preacher today. The Lord told him unless a man was born again he would not see the kingdom of God. Being born again means to be born from above, which entitles a second birth, this second birth is a spiritual birth.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Jn.1:12-13
Those who receive Christ by faith will be born into the family of God as one of his sons, being born of God. In conclusion Jesus said that you must be born again to be saved.
Why be born again?
We have seen that in order for man to enter into the kingdom of heaven you must be born again. The Bible also tells us that we must be born again because we are sinners and we have sinned against God.
“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” Rom. 3:10-11
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God:” Rom. 3:23
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Rom.5: 12
We must realize that we are sinners and have sinned against God. There is none who have not sinned before the Lord.
“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Rom. 3:19-20
“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.” Gal.3:22
You see that all are guilty before God concerning sin. We cannot boast in our goodness or righteousness for we have sinned and come short of God’s glory, that sin must be dealt with before one can obtain eternal life.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom. 5:8
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace:” Eph. 1:7
The Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth to suffer for the sins of mankind and paid the price for the redemption of man through his blood.
“Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” 1Tim: 2:6
“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers: But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1Peter 1:18-19
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross of Calvary for our sins that we might have forgiveness. To receive this forgiveness we must turn from our sins toward Christ.
“I tell you, Nay; but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
You and I must turn from our sins to Christ, this repentance is the realization of who and what we are, sinners, and that Christ died for our sins.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Eph. 2:8-9
God’s gift of eternal life is obtained by faith, one who trust in the finished work of Christ that died and rose again for our justification. He that will trust Christ and believe by faith shall receive God’s gift of eternal life by God’s grace.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Rom. 10: 9, 13
Sinner friend you have the promise of God that if you will call on the Lord and repent of your sins with a sincere heart God said that He would save you and give you eternal life. It does not matter what you have done or who you are if you will turn from you sins and turn to God you shall be saved.
Bow your heart now and receive Christ as your Savior whom loved you and died for you.
